mcbw Design Summit 2026

I had the big pleasure to again moderate the Design Summit of the munich creative business week at Munich Urban Colab.

The Design Summit marked the start of a buzzing week all over Munich, the 15th munich creative business week by bayern design GmbH, that is still in full swing until Sunday, May 10!

This year’s theme is Playground of Possibilities and that has definitely been filled with life during the summit with an eclectic mix of speakers from architecture, design, technology, research and the business world. And a variety of dimensions that we looked at: from creative wellbeing, self-belief and inspiration, to the meaningful design of public spaces, all the way to the interplay of design and technology with opening remarks by Hubert Aiwanger, Bavarian State Minister for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy and Dr. Olaf Kranz, Head of Kreativ München.

Thanks to Friedrich von Borries, Emmi Salonen, Marije Vogelzang and Hideaki Ogawa for the openness to turn our reflection round into a little playground of possibilities as well.

Big thanks to all the speakers who turned the Design Summit into a vibrant space of thoughts and impulses with Jessie Storey, Filippo Pagliani, Max Fraser, Alice Rawsthorn, Prof. Roberto Verganti and many more.
