Victoria Falls was home to the Agile Data & DPI Summit hosted by the Committee on Sustainability Assessment (COSA), in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) and Gates Foundation.
I was there on behalf of GIZ for the DIASCA project, that we have been working on for a few years already. DIASCA (Digital Integration of Agricultural Supply Chains Alliance) is a global alliance advancing digital public infrastructure (DPI) for agriculture.
The three-day summit was about the interplay of agile data and digital public infrastructure and I had the great pleasure to facilitate some of the sessions. During the summit, we explored further how to build and strengthen DPI systems and solutions, worked on concrete solutions and projects and elaborated further how to advance on a joint roadmap and concrete action for agile data and digital public infrastructure ecosystems.
With innovators, policymakers, businesses, civil society, researchers, practitioners and farmers all coming together, the systemic perspective played a crucial role during the course of the summit.
Big thanks to everyone involved making this a remarkable trip.
