Circular Republic, launched by UnternehmerTUM, serves as a platform dedicated to fostering a circular economic system. At their 4-day Circular Republic Festival in November, innovators within the circular ecosystem came together to spark the so-necessary collaboration. The festival featured startups, corporates and political representatives, all aiming to accelerate a regenerative transformation. Leonhard moderated the two main festival days with the amazing co-host Totinia Hörner, including various insightful discussions.
A highlight was the unveiling of the Circularity Gap Report Munich and a following discussion with Hans-Christian Eberl from the European Commission, Arjan Hassing from the City of Amsterdam, Jordi Pascual Torner from Circle Economy and Susanne Kadner from Circular Republic. The report exposes Munich‘s material footprint, highlighting the built environment, manufacturing and mobility as key areas with significant potential to bridge existing gaps. We are already looking forward to the second edition of the Circular Republic Festival, do not miss this one.
