Wir schafft Wunder

Berlin, Germany

What might a climate-neutral Germany by 2045 look like? Any ideas? During the dialogue series “Wir schafft Wunder – Shaping Progress Socially and Ecologically” organized by the German Federal Ministry of the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), several experts and citizens discussed different solution approaches to achieve this transformation.

Federal Environment Minister Svenja Schulze presented the results of the dialog series and the road to go for the next few years at the closing event that was moderated by Leonhard Nima. During an impulse by author, TV host, BMU biodiversity ambassador Dr. Eckart von Hirschhausen and a panel discussion featuring renowned guests such as Lisi Maier, Chairwoman of the German Federal Youth Council (DBJR), Frank Werneke, Chairman of the United Services Union (ver.di) and Prof. Dr. Kai Niebert, President of the German Nature Conservation Council (DNR), the question of how we can succeed in protecting the environment and climate while at the same time making the restructuring of our economy and society socially just was discussed.
